Grading of malting barley
Grain is used for various products where the specification of size of the single kernel is a demand criterion. As an example, barley used for malting needs to have kernels above a certain thickness.
A combi-cleaner is an efficient solution to process grain to be graded into fractions of different sizes. Making the crop ready directly for the end user saves cost for transportation and further processing.
The same process is often used for preparing grain for seeding purpose. By grading the grain at the farm, the fraction with the small kernels is separated and may be used for other purposes, i.e. for feeding or heating.
